Need supply list to build a 12′ x 24′ shed type building?
what supplies would I need to build a 12′ x 24′ building with a regular house type roof on it (A shaped roof, not sure what you call that). Would need a floor in it, just particlar board or whatever and the siding they usually put on sheds, I want to say it’s called tr-19 or something like that. It’s pine and comes in 4′x8′ panels. Also would need 4 windows, just average size and one steel or wood normal sized entry door. Shingled roof. Can someone give me a supply list and the estimated cost of the MATERIALS (not labor) that I would need? Also what type of foundation would it need? Just blocks or something like that? what would be cheapest? Thanks!
Many full service lumber yards offer design service. They can put a package together for you, as well as a set of plans you can use to obtain your building permit. It’s worth it.
As for a foundation, I would pour a concrete pad. It will take care of the floor situation, and be be much more stable for a shed that size. IT won’t be too terribly much more expensive, especially if you can do it yourself. Good luck.
