Some Tips to Lay Laminate Wood Flooring Over Tile

If you have already used tile for your flooring but you want new look, you can lay laminate Wood Flooring. The installation of this wood flooring is simple so that it can work with your Tile Flooring. Tiring your tile is not necessary to do. You only need to lay it over. The following are some ideas you can do to lay the wood flooring over your tile flooring.

Before you start laying your wood flooring, you have to adjust the flooring to the temperature and the humidity of the room. Then, set the laminate flooring and ensure that the box is still unopened. Set the temperature of your room at 65 up to 85 degrees. If the humidity of your room is more than 65 percent or less than 45 percent, you have to use the dehumidifier or humidifier to adjust it. Also, you should not pile the boxes higher than thee boxes and give space of 4 inches for good air flow. Prevent the boxes from the direct sunlight and heat ducts.

Take the molding off and leave up the baseboard. Inspect the tiling and ensure it is level and clean. It not, you can use the floor leveling cement for adjusting. Also, make sure that the door frame is ¼ inch from the installed flooring. If not, you can cut them. Then, roll out the underlayment of the foam so that the edges will not overlap so that it can match the room size. For more detail, you can follow the installation instructions available for you.

The next thing to do is to measure the room. Divide the width of the room by the width of the plank. The answer will be the number of the plank you need to use for the room while the remainder is the width of the last plank. It will be better to use the same width for the first and the last plank therefore, you have to add the width of the first plank and the last plank and then divide it by two. The result will be the width of both planks so that they will be the same.

Then, start laying from the left to the right. To keep the gap between the planks, you can use spacers. The ideal gap should be ¼ inches for the expansion. This is very important for the cabinetry in that room. When you start the Wood Flooring Installation, you can start it with 4 planks.

Laying the first plank, you have to use the wall for your guide. Put the plank against the wall. Start the second rows with a plank which is cut to 1/3 of its length. It lets you stagger the rows. To lock both planks, you can use tongue and grooves. Then, the third plank should connect the first plank at the end. Lock them in place. Then, the fourth plank should connect to the end of the plank and be locked together. It is the foundation so that you can add the other planks easily. For the next, you can add two rows.

The last thing you have to do is to use different lengths for the extra rows. However, you should not use plank which is shorter than 16 inches. To create the random appearance, you can use different cartons. Also, make sure that the last row is the same as the first row and create a space of ¼ inch away of the wall. Then, replace the trim and you have your wood laminate flooring done.
