What type and color of the Hardwood Floor will be most appropriate?

We put Hardwood Floors in our house. I'm looking for something that will be very clean and tidy with the cleaning and maintenance to a minimum …. as something that will make the house look larger and more open and cheerful sunlit. Not sure if the colors are more suitable dark cherries or lighter shades? Please give your opinion

I have an old oak floor, which is a semitone. I think it's compatible with W. wooden furniture of different types of work as neutral. Does not show scratches and dust as a dark spot would be. My house is very small and the soil is a broader aspect.
