What do you think of hardwood ceilings?

I was looking through a design review of the kitchen and saw a wooden floor ceiling instead of looking for hardwood. I thought it was a very rustic New England eque for a kitchen. My kitchen is remodeled and plans are not yet finalized. What do you think of this look?

I love it. Adds warmth to the room, and an intimate feel of the old days. In fact, they will not be quite common plaster has been used as much. The key to making a good appearance is to ensure that is installed very well, because the joints will be visible. So we want to make sure you install the lighting carefully, because the patch will be very difficult if you put something wrong and must be moved. I really think it's a beautiful look, if done:)
