can hard wood floors be placed on a basement floor?
Yes they can but if there is any moisture seeping from underneath it will ruin it in no time at all. There is a type of plywood you can buy that has a egg crate type on one side that holds the plywood 1/2 off the floor so a small amount of moisture wont reach the plywood. Then put the wood Flooring on top of the plywood.
