Installing Hardwood Floors?

In the old days people used "short" tables to the floor. Not only short, but were too narrow. Does anyone have experience with the solid union of mortise and tenon wood chips directly into the ground, without nails? qualifier: My father and I did 30 years ago, and it always seems very well with minimal cracking. We glued directly on a stone floor full of potholes. Now during installation saying it can not be done, will have a basement well, but we have allowed the stone 30 years ago, without any sequelae. Am I overlooking something? Is a unit above, not the risk of flood and I'm (like) adhesive directly to ground cork that has been planned with much Bostik. Shorty I know (no matter) are working, but I am sure that the worker I do not mind. Anyone with experience in this field, I hear you. John

Why did you hit a wood floor wood subfloor? You should be able to nail directly through language in the floor covering in the sub-floor below. If you stick your wood floor, there is no possible way for the new floor to expand and contract with the floor during temperature changes and humidity. Since you stuck your apartment in a stone base, it is not necessary for expansion and contraction. Aid of a pneumatic nailer can speed time working together. It's just my opinion, but with glue on a wood subfloor appears to be a bad idea. Good luck with this method of setting you choose.
